The Department of Chemistry and Physics jointly organized an International Conference on Advanced Materials Science. The program was organized by Dr. T. Joselin Beaula (Physics), Dr. Sheela M S (Chemistry - Head), and Dr. Gibin (Physics - Head). More than 200 students actively participated in the program.

Department of Chemistry organized an inter-collegiate Chem-Quiz competition sponsored by Department of Chemistry Alumnae. The quiz was conducted by Quiz Master Dr. M. Amal Raj, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Arul Anandhar College, Madurai.

๐Ÿ”ฌ Workshop at Athmic Biotech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., R&D Laboratory
18th July 2025
Students of the Department of Chemistry and five faculty members had the opportunity to attend a one-day workshop at Athmic Biotech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., R&D Laboratory, located in Balaramapuram. The purpose of the visit was to learn about antimicrobial activity. The session provided valuable insights into laboratory practices, scientific techniques, and industrial applications of chemistry.
๐Ÿญ Industrial Visit - Milma Dairy, Trivandrum
10th October 2025
Students visited the Milma Plant in Trivandrum, part of Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF). Students gathered information about different types of milk, milk products, and their manufacturing process. The functioning of various structural features of the plant was well explained.

13th to 15th January 2026
A three-day Educational Tour was organized by the Department of Chemistry to Kodaikanal and Munnar. Students visited Mair Point, Pine Forest, Guna Cave, Pillar Rock, and various locations. The tour provided students with excellent learning experiences and team-building opportunities.

Department of Chemistry conducted a seminar on "Introduction to Universe of Radiation". The session explained different types of radiation, their sources, significance in medicine, science, and industry, and the importance of radiation safety and protection.
