Biotechnology Research Centre
The Department of Biotechnology is a recognized research centre of the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (Ref: No. MSU/RES/REGN/R.C/RC: Syndicate Resolution No: 03 dated 14-08-2008) to promote research in the department. Its objective is to meet the requirements of faculty members and students of the entire institute in terms of collaborative research in biotechnology. The department has well equiped lab for Molecular Biology, Plant tissue culture, Fermentation technology, Animal Cell Culture, Marine biotechnology and Microbial technology. Our department has a strong research capacity and publication history. Dr. W.A. Manjusha (Asst. Prof. and Head, Department of Biotechnology) received a DST funded research project under AGROTECH Scheme. The Guidance will be provided for M.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D candidates in accomplishing their research projects/Dissertation work and publications in highly impact journals.
