Developing and encouraging research culture is crucial for institutions that aim to make a meaningful impact in society. Creating a robust research ecosystem is of vital importance for colleges and academic institutions. Objectives of the Practice

  • To promote creativity among students by encouraging free thinking, undertaking learning through experimentation and developing a research mindset.
  • To establish and institutionalize solid research practices leading to the creation of a unique research culture of the college.

The Context

The quality of education in an institute of higher education is recognized by its unique research culture. Accordingly, MCC has created a broad policy framework for promoting Research and Development through:

  • The College implements its own Research Promotion Policy through a separate Research Promotion Committee focusing on creation of robust Research ecosystem.

Campus to Community (C2C)

Societal Care promotes social welfare and brings ethnic changes in society. It instils the highest humanistic value that promotes social justice and community welfare. The University motivates educational institutions in their philanthropic activities. Social welfare activities were started by the college in the year 1990. The programme develops faith in national integration, leadership qualities, democratic attitude, social and civic responsibility, and builds capacity to meet emergencies and national disasters among students. Student volunteers serve the community by educating rural masses on public health, pollution, traffic regulation, and creating awareness of crucial social issues.

The Context

MCC follows the importance of community engagement. The outreach programs through NSS, NCC and YRC sensitize students to the needs of society and their role in nation-building. It provides students with a grassroots introduction to rural Indian communities while teaching them about rural difficulties. Special emphasis is laid on outreach activities to inspire, motivate, and educate students on self-reliance through service. As an institution with social responsibility, MCC gives back to the community through its student body and faculty.

Along with NSS, Youth Red Cross Club (YRC), Science Club and Eco Club of the college play vital roles in maintaining Eco-friendly Environment by planting saplings and conducting Awareness Programmes - blood donation, drug abuse awareness, no smoking campaigns, Road safety initiatives and Cleanliness programs. Special Camps are organized for the benefit of the rural community.
