Event: An Eye Screening and Vision Check-up Camp was organized by Samko Eye Hospital in association with Malankara Catholic College, Mariagiri, on 29 August 2025 from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. The programme aimed to promote awareness of eye health and provide free vision screening for students, staff members, and beneficiaries.
The camp was conducted successfully with the support of the college management. The programme was graced by Correspondent Fr. Franklin Jose, Bursar Fr. Justin, and Principal (i/c) Mr. G. Ravi Selvakumar. The active involvement of Health Club members ensured smooth coordination and effective implementation of the camp.
The initiative contributed to the early identification of eye-related problems and helped create awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations.
The academic year 2025β26 was marked by vibrant participation and notable achievements for the Creative Arts Association. Students actively took part in a wide range of cultural competitions and brought laurels to the institution.
The events were coordinated by Dr. Brindha Mary V. T. with the support of Dr. S. Antony and Ms. Danu Jaffrin. These achievements reflect the creativity, dedication, confidence, and teamwork of the students.
The Anti-Drug Committee organized a series of competitions on 28 January 2026 at the College Library as part of its Drug Awareness Programme. The initiative aimed to educate students on the harmful effects of substance abuse and to promote a healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyle.
Students participated with enthusiasm and expressed their ideas creatively through writing and visual art. The programme successfully strengthened awareness and encouraged students to choose healthy living and education over addiction.
A Parent-Teacher Interaction Meeting was conducted successfully in the respective departments on Saturday, 13 September 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The meeting focused on academic performance, attendance, student progress, and departmental efforts to support improvement.
Parents expressed satisfaction with the institutionβs infrastructure, teaching methods, departmental initiatives, disciplinary practices, and laboratory facilities, and appreciated the progress of their wards.
The Trans-Disciplinary Research Forum organized an invited talk titled βPublish and Prosperβ on 9 February 2026 with the objective of encouraging research culture and strengthening scholarly writing skills among students and research scholars.

The Womenβs Development Forum functions with the primary objective of empowering girl students by fostering confidence, self-reliance, leadership, and practical life skills. The forum actively promotes awareness, capacity building, and the holistic development of women students.
The forum organizes two-wheeler and four-wheeler driving classes exclusively for girl students. These classes are intended to equip students with essential driving skills, thereby enhancing mobility, independence, and self-confidence.
The training is conducted in a professional and systematic manner, with emphasis on safety, competence, and confidence building. The programme has received an enthusiastic response and has helped many students overcome hesitation and gain practical exposure to real-life driving situations.
In addition to driving classes, the forum also observes International Womenβs Day and organizes orientation and awareness programmes for students.
