2025-26

An Eye Check-up Camp was organized by Samko Eye Hospital in association with the college on 29th August 2025 at Malankara Catholic College, Mariagiri. The camp was conducted from 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM with the objective of promoting eye health awareness and providing free vision screening to students and staff members.

The camp was conducted successfully with the support and guidance of the college management. The program was graced by Correspondent Fr. Franklin Jose, Bursar Fr. Justin, and Principal (i/c) Mr. G. Ravi Selvakumar. The active involvement of Health Club members, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff ensured smooth coordination and effective execution of the event.

The Eye Check-up Camp was highly beneficial to the college community as it helped in early detection of eye-related problems and created awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations.

The Anti-Drug Committee organized various competitions on 28th January 2026 at the College Library as part of the Drug Awareness Program. The program aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

Topic: "Insights in Writing Research Papers and Research Projects"

All PG students and Research Scholars from various departments actively participated in the talk, gaining valuable insights into research paper writing and project formulation.

The Women's Development Forum functions with the primary objective to empower girl students by promoting confidence, self-reliance, and practical life skills. The forum actively works towards creating awareness, capacity building, and holistic development among women students.

Major Activities

The forum organizes two-wheeler and four-wheeler driving classes exclusively for girl students. These classes are designed to equip students with essential driving skills, enhancing mobility, independence, and self-confidence. Professional and systematic training is provided to ensure safety and competence.

The programme has received an enthusiastic response from students. The training has helped students overcome hesitation and gain practical exposure to real-life driving situations, significantly contributing to personal empowerment.

Apart from driving classes, the forum celebrates International Women's Day and organizes orientation programs for students.
